PriceCheck

who-we-are

PriceCheck is Africa’s largest product & financial services platform.

Established in 2006 by Kevin Tucker, PriceCheck has grown into a platform that allows you to compare millions of products from thousands of stores.

Using PriceCheck is simple; on desktop, mobile or tablet. Our powerful, intelligent search is designed to allow you to search quickly and accurately for products you’re interested in buying, allowing you to learn more about the products and the merchants that sell them. Once you’re ready to buy, just click-through to the store you’d like to buy from and purchase your product immediately.

Kevin Tucker
Founder & CEO at PriceCheck

What makes your team unique from the others in your company?

Our job keeps no hours – we’re dedicated to building a system that’s user-friendly, fast and highly-scalable. Our team is highly-skilled and at the top of their game – leaders in the field of e-commerce.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The challenge! The challenge of building a service for the majority of South Africans, to be at the centre of their purchasing decisions every day!

Describe your company culture.

We’re a young, diverse, driven company. We represent all facets of society, but are driven by the same goals. We work hard and enjoy ourselves at the same time.

What do you hope your interns will get out of this experience?

We want our interns to experience working in a standout South African company, focussed on building tools for the majority. We want them to add value and gain value. They should be able to look back and say: “I learned a lot, but most of all, I gained invaluable experience.”

What’s your mini bio?

I’m a passionate entrepreneur! Passionate about tech, South Africa and the combination of the two. I’ve been my own boss for too many years, but it’s been a great ride so far. I’m the founder of PriceCheck, the seller of PriceCheck, and the re-acquirer of PriceCheck!
