At Aerobotics we develop autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and systems able to perform complex tasks without the need for highly skilled pilots. Our main focus is to develop turnkey systems which collect actionable data for our clients. Our end-to-end drone solution includes data processing, analysis software and support.

What makes your team unique from other’s in the company?
We focus on everything that happens post data getting captured. We look to turn the data into meaning through analytics and visualizations.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
We have a young, highly talented team. The office vibe is really fun and enjoyable, while we still manage to build amazing products.
Describe your company culture.
Young, talented and full of learning. We have mainly employed engineers to date and everyone is involved in most aspects of the business. Everyone is keen to learn and happy to help others.
What do you hope your interns will get out of this experience?
A unique startup experience, developing cutting edge technology in a city where there isn’t much happening in the field. They will get exposed to all aspects of the business and will be fully integrated into the team.
What’s your mini bio?
I am born and bred in Cape Town South Africa. I studied mechatronics engineering at [the University of Cape Town] enjoying all aspects that [Cape Town] has to offer. I then worked as a consultant for a couple years before studying my masters in Neurotechnology in London. Thereafter I worked for Uber for a year before getting Aerobotics going.
